Why are lipids also called triglycerols?

my biology teacher igned us summer homework and i'm entirely stuck on this question. i'm confused between triglycerols and triglycerides and whether they're the same thing, i'm confused if one is a subgroup of the other... any enlightenment on either a problem with the question or an answer to it is necessary.
