When was the last time atheism helped anybody?

Atheism, by definition, can't really do the things Christianity can do in this area. Atheism extends to one question, and one question only: does god exist. Now, I have a question for you, was it Christianity that turned those lives around? Or was it a strong, supportive community with good morals that turned their lives around? Perhaps a philosophical society like humanism could take the role of religion in this department, but atheism itself is ill-equipped to do that job.
